1. United States-grown CBD is legal across the country.
Though CBD isn’t currently approved by the FDA (other than for a brand new epilepsy drug) as an ingredient, the 2018 Farm Bill, which gets updated every five years or so, made it possible for licensed farmers to more easily grow industrial hemp. The industrial-style plant contains less than .03 percent of THC, making it an appropriate catalyst for extracting CBD, and they’re all running with it. By extracting the CBD from an industrial cannabis plant and then diluting it into whatever they’re infusing with it, CBD products are well within the law.
