The (Known) Timeline of Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s Relationship, as Told by Jonas Brothers Lyrics

But Nick and Priyanka? Woman’s 36 -- this ain’t no game.

Sources announced on Friday that singer Nick Jonas -- aka the favorite Jonas Brother -- proposed to "Quantico" actress Priyanka Chopra a week or so ago around her birthday. The two began dating publicly (and “publicly” is the key word here -- we're hoping they've been seeing each other longer) about two months ago, shortly after Memorial Day weekend. It’s been a long summer of quickie engagements, to which we say: Is this sh*t for real?

I’ll try to explain how they came to be with the help of lyrics by the Jonas Brothers.

I’m assuming this must have been what Jonas was thinking after first meeting Chopra -- sometime in 2017 prior to the Met Gala -- since this is about as long as their dating term lasted.

After she and Jonas attended the 2017 Met Gala together, Chopra told Jimmy Kimmel that it was because they were both wearing Ralph Lauren. Uh, Lily Aldridge wore Ralph that year too, and she didn’t get the invite. Kimmel called her out and she insisted that it was purely platonic between her and Nick. K. 

Fast forward to the 2018 Met Gala on May 7. Chopra dazzled in another Ralph Lauren gown, this time a simple velvet, burgundy strapless piece to go with her stunning hood. Nick wore Dolce & Gabbana and took the subway getting there, so it’s no wonder they chose not to accompany each other this time. But maybe this outfit sparked a little something in Jonas?

We see you, Jonas. Remember his two-year romance with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo? Well, they broke up in 2015 and then she dated NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola for a while. When she and Amendola broke up (temporarily, blessed be), Jonas started Insta-stalking and allegedly texting her again around early May of this year. Shady, or a diversion?

Chopra is a little over 10 years Jonas’ senior. That’s all.

Who knows if we’ll ever find out when Jonas and Chopra actually first got together romantically, but for our purposes here we’ll call it when they were seen canoodling at “Beauty and the Beast Live” at the Hollywood Bowl at the end of May. Or at that Dodgers game they were at. Or on that private yacht during Memorial Day weekend? Just assume they were smooching all over the place in late May.

And a dinner date! A source told People that they were being super affectionate and Chopra even ran her hand through Jonas’s hair. I cry.

By May 29, it was pretty much confirmed by multiple outlets that the couple was official. They also started being way more blatant on social media after this, like with these two Instagram comments from May 30 and June 3.

Lots of travel during June for these two. During the second week, the couple was spotted at JFK International Airport presumably on their way to a Jonas family wedding. Then toward the end of June, Chopra brought Jonas along for a family visit to India. Yep -- they met the parents.

Chopra was so freakin’ cute on Instagram when she attended Jonas’s concert in Brazil in early July, posting lovey-dovey videos while she watched his performance. I’d say this was officially his “she’s cool enough to hang with my friends” moment.

Chopra finally addressed her relationship (kinda) by talking to People in mid July about the couple’s India trip, saying, “We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him.” Yay for confirmation!

Well, it sure is sunny now! The reports are saying that Jonas popped the question while the two were in London for Chopra’s birthday. I don’t know about everyone else but I for one am the most excited for Jonas and Chopra’s life together.

After an official engagement ceremony that reportedly involved both Jonas and Chopra's parents in Mumbai, the couple have properly announced their engagement via their respective social media platforms.
