Before we move forward, please take a moment to gaze longingly at the official wedding photos of Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Take your time.
These photos are gorgeous, but I’ve recently happened upon a photo of wedding photographer Alexi Lubomirski, and let’s just say that it gave me pause as well.
I mean, wow.
Lubomirski told CBS that he received a call from Kensington Palace about a job and thought he was being pranked.
"It was very informal. They're just a young couple in love," he said of Harry and Meghan. "It's the most beautiful thing to see. And I'm a cheeseball so I love that kind of stuff."
As if we didn’t know how in love the two are, Lubomirski said he wanted to capture how “cute” they were for the engagement photos, since they “kind of zone off into each other.”
Lubomirski is also the author of “Princely Advice for a Happy Life,” a guide on living your best life from romance, spirituality and leadership, and “Diverse Beauty,” which includes a contribution from Lupito Nyong’o and explores photography of women of all shapes, sizes and colors. All proceeds from his books go directly to Concern Worldwide US, an organization that aims to better the lives of those struggling through a poverty-stricken lifestyle.
He can get away with writing a book titled “Princely Advice” -- Lubomirski is descended from Polish royalty. He has a “Prince” title, even if he doesn’t use it very often. It’s starting to make more sense that he was chosen for this ultimate photography gig.
Well, that and the fact that he has an impressive repertoire. A quick scroll of his Instagram tells you everything you need to know; he’s shot killer covers of Elle, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and worked with high-profile subjects like Gigi Hadid and Kate Hudson.
Guy’s a powerhouse. So here’s one more photo of him, because we all deserve it on a Monday.
