All of us, at this point, must know someone who had to change their wedding plans in the wake of COVID-19. Between traveling for bachelor(ette) parties or destinations weddings and getting more than 10 people together, big white weddings are simply not feasible right now. But, as is the human spirit, couples around the world have found ways to profess their love and celebrate their unions without the fancy venue or big crowds. By gathering only their closest friends and family in backyards or over video chat, love is still being shared despite hardships.
And artists are getting involved! Take John Krasinski: He just recently wed a couple in Maryland with the help of Zac Brown, who penned a new song, "The Man Who Loves You The Most," just for the occasion. Hoda Kotb, who had to put her own nuptials on pause, helped officiate a wedding for an Arizona couple over Zoom, where special guest Russell Dickerson serenaded them with his song "Yours," which would have been their first dance song.
In the spirit of celebrating love any way we can, country artist Levi Hummon curated a playlist for us, chock-full of the most loved-up songs of the time. From sweetheart ballads to power love anthems dedicated to everything from an innocent crush to a love meant to last a lifetime, any of these melodies will complement a virtual wedding beautifully.
