Soothe Squalane Watermelon Mask
Don’t stress – either with your mood or your skin. If you
need skin to chill out, try the Soothe Squalane Watermelon Mask. Watermelon extract, chamomile,
and aloe vera are all calming to the skin. Squalene is a mega multi-tasker as it “helps
to repair the skin barrier, control oil and moisturize while reducing the
appearance of fine lines,” according to Dr. Mack. The probiotics boost “good”
bacteria, peptides help boost collagen and adaptogens help reduce stress from within
the body.
Pair it with a thirst-quenching Watermelon Margarita with
tons of fresh watermelon and lime juice.
Coconut Hydrate Mask
This mask not only smells like a day at the beach but,
thanks to the incredibly hydrating coconut, is also like a drink for your thirsty face.
The mask is formulated with coconut extract, ceramides, peptides and Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid complex,
which Dr. Mack says helps “repair and hydrate dryer skin types by strengthening
the epidermal layer and the skin barrier.”
Pair this mask with Coconut Mojitos, which are also cooling
and refreshing, thanks to lime and mint.
Fruit Pineapple Enzyme Mask
If your skin needs a refresh and a glow-up, reach for the Fruit Pineapple Enzyme Mask. Because the pineapple and
papaya extracts help encourage cell turnover, this mask will gently exfoliate while
vitamin C brightens and hyaluronic acid hydrates. "It is great if you have dull
skin and are looking to get rid of dead skin calls and enhance your glow,” says
Dr. Mack. “It evens out uneven skin tones, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging and
dry skin.”
Try it with a tall glass of Pineapple Rum Punch, which is
juicy and has a little kick from a hint of ginger ale.
Vegan Collagen Lychee Mask
Mature skin will get a huge boost from this mask that’s all
about beefing up collagen (with the help of vegan collagen, that is). “The lychee extract in this product contains thiamin, niacin and copper which help
to heal damaged skin,” tells Dr. Mack, while water-retaining hyaluronic acid plumps
and moisturizes skin. This mask is also great for dehydrated skin and skin that
needs more elasticity but is great for all skin types and is cruelty-free in
addition to vegan-friendly.
Pair with a Sparkling Lychee Cocktail, which is like a gin
and tonic, but more exotic thanks to canned lychee fruit.
As for other ways to keep skin healthy this summer, Dr. Mack
recommends a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or more, reapplied every 80
minutes. Drinking water is also super important (so you may want to limit those
tasty cocktails to just a few). Dr. Mack says that “keeping your body hydrated
helps with cellular hydration.” She notes that when the cells of the skin are
hydrated “they are plumper and there is a reduction in the appearance of fine
lines and wrinkles.” Lastly, along with sheet masks, moisturizers, and sunscreen,
use vitamin C and antioxidants to ward off environmental free radicals.
